Our service of scouting implies online evaluation and codification of content, according to project specifications and coding guidelines.
We can either use our tools to collect the data or apply the coding approach to client-collected data.
The core of the activity is handled by our team of SMI Scouts (Coders), who read through articles and postings published on a variety of online sources (such as blogs, social media networks like Facebook, web pages, tweets, YouTube and others) and rate them based on the attitude displayed in each post accordingly – for example, whether the sentiment is positive/neutral/negative or a posting is not relevant or based on the main topic of discussion and so on.
At this time, the SMI Center offers two types of approaches:
SMI Monitoring allows a longitudinal overview of the image a brand/product has online. We can observe the ranging impact, consumers’ attitude and other important aspects. The SMI Monitoring is based on daily samples of relevant articles (usually a low target of 30-50).
SMI Ad Hoc offers a transversal section of an image of a brand/product at a specific time and it is based on a larger sample size sample.
